Playwright and Educator

Jeremy Llorence is a Black American playwright from Metro-Detroit. His ten-minute, one-act, and full-length plays have been seen in venues all over the Midwest including Columbus, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Milwaukee.

Jeremy is the current playwriting faculty at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio, where he teaches courses in playwriting, reading plays, creative writing, composition, and others. He serves as the faculty advisor to Quiz and Quill, Otterbein’s student literary journal. He strives to help students find passion, style, and voice in their creative work, mainly through irrepressible energy and off-beat humor.

He holds a BA from Grand Valley State University and an MFA from Western Michigan University.
